About Steve Hoppe

Steve Hoppe began to draw and create art at a very young age and hasnšt stopped for a minute. Early school papers all had doodles and drawings in the margins. In high school, Steve was awarded a one-man show, won regional art awards and displayed at a local college. After graduation, Steve attended the Schoolof Communication Arts in Minneapolis where he completed a one-year course in Computer Animation. One of his creations, Flying Man, was picked up by national media and the school used it prominently in their advertising for several years. Steve completed two internships. One was with Avatar, Inc.using computer graphics in advertising and one with Crist Ballast working with practical makeup effects for movies.

For about ten years, Steve worked with OSTA productions, a company making hobby board games and card games. His position as Art Director involved supervising a staff of up to 8 other artists, as well as creating artwork, packaging, and marketing materials.

In 2007, Steve completed, with honors, a Bachelor of Science degree in Video Game Design and Development at Brown College, St. Paul, MN. He completed an internship under the direction of Micheal Gjere.

Steve is looking forward to a challenging and rewarding career in the gaming industry as a modeler/artist.
